The National Institute of Rehabilitation Dr. Luis Guillermo Ibarra Ibarra (INRLGII) in Mexico received support for more than 108 million pesos (approximately $6 million) during 2024.

The general director of INRLGII, Carlos Pineda Villasenor, stressed that the supplies and equipment acquired have been key to ensuring quality care and strengthening medical education.
Supports include: surgical material and devices such as prostheses, hearing aids and electronic larynxes. Specialized equipment was also received, such as adapted wheelchairs, intraocular lenses, ground ambulances, ultrasound machines and a video system for endoscopy.

Projections for 2025: more technology and better diagnostics
During a working and evaluation meeting between INRLGII and APBP, it was announced that in 2025 the institute will receive new cutting-edge equipment.
The general director of the APBP, Jose Alfredo Cordero Esquivel, confirmed the acquisition of mass spectrometer, high-resolution computed axial tomograph and magnetic resonance imaging equipment.
These resources will be a boost to improve highly specialized care and enhance the institute's diagnostic capacity.

The acquired equipment is already generating positive results.
